This part of the process is what makes your original pattern come out as you desired it to be.. even a quarter of an inch off, and the cutting is ruined.. the jeans would not be what they were meant to be.  This one came out just fine.. check out the next couple posts for some construction posts.. as well as finished product posts...

These are a few photos of me altering a pre exsisting pattern that i drew for the "straight leg worker" into a pattern for my really tall friend, Geoff.  the inseam on his jeans is 40".  Yeah!! he's freaking tall..  Enjoy. Have any questions email me up.. ben@viapiana.ca

The leather that you see is all Australian cow hide veg-tan leather.  It ia 8 oz, 3mm thick leather.  Here you see me applying a leather softening agent.. (top secret formula) I'm getting really excited to use these..

sorry for the lack of posts recently... here are 5 pics of one of the latest jeans i did for a friend.  The naturally damaged leather gave the jeans a nice vintage feel to them.. the back rise and yokes are hand welted for the classic single needle sewing..  they are also hemmed with the 43200G union special chain-stitcher...
